Rid the Negativity.

If the Universe, as they say, works on the vibrations, would you want the vibrations that hmm the cords of your life to be negative? A profound question to contemplate isn’t it?

And, I am sure the desired answer, for most of you, rather all of you, is going to be “NO”.

Then why do we often find ourselves in bed with negative thoughts? Why is more than often the good partner of ours, the positive thought, found missing at our side?

To be able to unfold this complex mystery, it is important to identify the cause and source of this negativity but more important is to be able to identify the negativity itself.

Yes, negativity is toxic and throws your entire system out of its course. However, you don’t need to be a spiritual guru or a certain rank of a monk to be able to realize the negative or the positive energies you are being influenced by. If only you observe how you feel, you shall be able to understand to sense the changes in vibrations in and around you, no matter how subtle they may be.

Rid the Negativity – WHY?

The way thoughts develop is like a spiral road on a mountain. It either spirals upwards or just spirals downhill. There is no third direction.

Once you start with the Negative Thoughts, you will feel negative. This negative feeling will not let you give your best and you shall act negatively (not in the right way). As an outcome of it, you will get negative results which in turn shall lead you to become all the more Negative.

…And the vicious circle (sorry, the spiral) goes on, takes you down endlessly…

Rid the Negativity

On the contrary, if you start with Positive Thoughts, you will feel upbeat and enthusiastic. The enthusiasm will infuse the courage in you and shall keep your focus only on the ways to achieve your goals and making you give your very best to achieve them. As an outcome of it, you will get positive results which in turn shall lead you to become all the more upbeat and enthusiastic.

Now, you tell me which road would you want to take? Mind it though, going downhill is comfortable, at least it appears so in the beginning. You just have to let yourself go and slide downhill while it takes a lot of effort climbing up the mountain. However, if you want to reach the heights in life and be in control of it you need to make that effort. Also, the longer you let that slide happen, the bigger is the inertia built and hence more the effort required to first overcome it and then reverse your direction. Once you get into the positive traction, which too, keeps you inflow to stay progressing towards your success.

So it is very important to keep your thoughts channelized in the right direction.

Rid the Negativity – HOW?

  • Identify the Negative Influences

 Identification of a situation is the first step to amicably handle it. And, the good news is that it is really simple to gauge if a particular circumstance/situation or event influences you positively or not. All you need to do is look at it objectively in the context of how you react to it.

Be it a piece of news or an event or some result under the consideration; does it make you feel happy, do you share it immediately with your family and friends, oh! Now-a-days it is sharing it across all your WhatsApp groups and social media handles. If yes, know that you are enjoying it in the cradle of the positive influence.

However, if on the contrary, you want to avoid the world, or suddenly you start remembering God that you otherwise rarely do, or you start touching the Kaleva tied on your wrist or that cross around your neck or the Taawiz around your arm, are you feeling restless or anxious, or not able to sleep properly, or you have your thoughts and feelings spiral out of control and making you feel down and out, etc. Even a piece of good news doesn’t seem to make sense anymore. If so, then be warned, you have a negative influence rocking your bed. These are tell-tale signs indicating you being in the confines of the negative influences that you must work on getting rid of on war footing.

  • Eliminate the negative influences from your life

Negativity is toxic. It may have its origin in one place but ends up engulfing your entire system in its toxic fumes. Negative influences are such energy suckers. Anyone, anything or anyplace the makes you feel drained of energy as soon as you are in the influence of them, is best to stay away from. It might not always be possible to detach yourself immediately but once any such influence is identified, start taking small steps like cutting down on the time you be in those influences, establishing and maintaining boundaries, and work towards completely eradicating the influence eventually. No one should be allowed to keep you from your destiny and you owe it to yourself to keep the dream stealers/distractors/energy-suckers away.

  • Keep your space clean and uncluttered

Even though this one is a no-brainer, yet it often gets ignored and we keep suffering its ill impact on our psyche. A clean environment is the breeding ground for positive thoughts while negativity feeds on the clutter and messy environment to grow. So make sure to keep your home and workplace clean. Let go of the unwanted things you have been hoarding and unclutter your surroundings.  Cleaning up and free up your space is one of the simplest yet most effective ways to attract positivity into your life.

  • Say NO to cribbing and whining

“When you complain, you make yourself into a victim. When you speak out, you are in your power. So change the situation by taking action or by speaking out if necessary or possible; leave the situation or accept it. All else is madness.” — Eckhart Tolle

If you shall keep a score of the number of times you crib and whine in a day, you shall be aghast. Cribbing and whining are completely unnecessary and counterproductive. The more you pay attention to, or complain about your troubles, not only does it make you feel like complaining some more but also it eats up your valuable time and

resources that could have otherwise been utilized towards finding a solution, or eradicating the issue itself. So focus all your resources, mental and otherwise, on the solution.

As the saying ‘precaution is better than cure’ goes, it is better to build the resilience of your thought in advance. Meditation is one of the surest and the quickest ways to calm yourself down and keep a check on your thoughts. It helps you be aware of your thoughts and be able to label them as good or bad. There are many meditation techniques that you could choose to adopt. You may also take to yoga, walking, or jogging to lift your spirits and drive the negative energy away. These help you fortify your mind against getting sucked into a black hole of negativity.

Stay Positive, Stay Happy, Keep Growing

Negativity is like the toxic fumes that once entered your mind, are very difficult to clean up. Even after the clean-up, it leaves behind some residual impact or the other. The best way is to stay away from it. Stop it from entering your mind at all. Just – NIP IT IN THE BUD…..
